Miniapolis is an Indonesian franchise of children’s playgrounds and childcare facilities, with locations in Bali that include the Kuta Beachwalk mall and dining complex, and as a dedicated children’s playground within the Bali Zoo. Cheeky Monkeys is a kids club in Bali that operates in three locations. It manages the main kids club facility, called ‘La Villa des Enfants’ at the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, and can also be found at the Kuta Beachwalk. In Sanur, it has a standalone preschool, childcare and play facility on the Jalan Danau Tamblingan main street. As a Sofitel Bali guest, your kids are welcome to join in fun and safe activities, free for the first four hours and chargeable for extra. Indoor activities include arts and crafts, music, and playtime with a wide range of toys and video games. Meanwhile, outside activities can be had in its sandy playground enclosure, complete with slides and obstacles. Babysitting services are also available.

Peek A Boo is one of Bali’s largest children’s playgrounds, located in a large warehouse on Sanur’s main highway of Jalan Ngurah Rai. The playground offers over a 1,000sqm of sheltered space, divided into dedicated baby and toddler play stations that are each filled with toys, matted playgrounds and obstacles. Pondok Pekak Library & Learning Centre

Ages: 5 years and up

For those exploring Ubud, this library that is right across the soccer field from the Monkey Forest in Padangtegal serves as one of the best places to check out with kids. The library is a welcoming space for all ages, with over 30,000 books in its collection, as well as a full schedule of weekly activities that the kids can join. These include Bahasa Indonesia language courses, private classes in traditional Balinese art and culture (for travellers), as well as traditional Balinese dance, music and crafts such as flower offering making and fruit carving. Lessons range from IDR 100,000 to 250,000 per person (USD 7 to 19).

Bali Fun World

This playground facility is located in the artistic village in Sukawati, several minutes’ transfer south of Ubud central. Friendly staff are happy to assist playing kids through the various slides, trampolines, bucking bull rides, slingshots and giant inflatable bouncy castles and climbing walls. Admission is only IDR 100,000 (USD 7) per child for an unlimited play time. There is a food stall selling basic snacks and drinks is onsite.
