Discover one of Bali's most iconic temples, Uluwatu, set on a high cliff-top southwest of the Bukit peninsula. Then head north to Jimbaran Beach, where a fine bay awaits. The bay curves south from the neighbouring fishing village of Kedonganan, past the InterContinental Bali Resort and the row of famous sunset seafood cafes, before ending at the beachfront of Bali's Four Seasons Resort. The white sand coast is picturesque, where you can enjoy the ocean breeze while your delicious seafood grills are being prepared.
The Jimbaran sunset seafood experience is very popular, not only because of the sheer scenic backdrop of the bay, but also for the enormous selection of seafood on offer, presented to the table with exotic sauces and spices. Some are outright 'Jimbaran' style, with spicy 'sambal' chili dips, while others have combined heritage recipes with western influences. Most of the seafood are fresh catches of the day from the local fishermen in the immediate bay.
