After breakfast, hop on a bike for a leisurely ride through traditional villages, passing plantations and lush valleys. Arrive at the Yeh Panas Hot Springs for a picnic followed by time to soak in the mineral waters. Afterward, a driver takes you to the UNESCO-listed rice terraces of Jatiluwih and the temple of Batukaru.
Spend 3 or 4 hours in the morning hiking in the Batukaru Nature Reserve, absorbing the beauty of a protected mountain rainforest and keeping your eyes peeled for colorful butterflies and monkeys. Have lunch back at the lodge, and then ride toward the black sand beaches of the western coast, arriving in time to catch the sunset.
Leave Pekutatan, stopping at the Rambut Siwi sea temple on your way to the Perancak Estuary. Visit a turtle conservation project, and check out colorful phinisi ships in a nearby port. In the morning, take a boat ride to Menjangan Island to snorkel among colorful corals and vibrant fish and enjoy a picnic lunch on the shore.
Ride along the north coast to Seririt and Banjar, stopping off at the Buddhist monastery of Bhrama Arama Vihara on your way to Munduk for lunch in a local restaurant.
