Kuda Bahagia Stables in Bali
(Kuda Bahagia Stables ceased operations mid-2015)
Kuda Bahagia Stables offers you a fun and enjoyable time as one of the main stables along the Canggu, Pererenan and Umalas area, northwest of Kerobokan and Seminyak. The stables opened in 2009 and is located in the village of Pererenan, only a five-minute walk from Pererenan Beach.
Some of the horses at the Kuda Bahagia Stables were transfers from the once-popular and pioneering Umalas Stables which recently closed its doors after 16 years of operation. The stable features a wide range of mounts, including local ponies, thoroughbreds, Arabians, Lipizzaner and French crosses, some of which are imported.

Good to Know about Kuda Bahagia Stables
Kuda Bahagia Stables is run by Arif Hidayat and his wife Carmen. Their staff members include experienced tour guides who will take participants through enchanting landscapes and sandy beaches for a special adventure on horseback. Tours start by traversing a Balinese village.
After riding along a road between green rice fields, riders soon reach the sands of Pererenan and continue on to trot or canter to the beaches of Kuta or simply remain in the area to enjoy the immediate coastline. The horses can ride into the water, and make for a memorable splashing photo opportunity.
As riding experiences and track conditions are highly affected by the weather, always be sure to check the weather prior to go riding. Groups consisting of mostly inexperienced riders will be accompanied by guides and their horses leashed together for safety purposes.
The pony rides are a great opportunity for the little ones to get to know horses. Children under five years of age can gain their first riding experience on the friendly ponies on a 10-minute ride. The dedicated children’s camp enables children to be dropped in the morning and picked up after lunch for an equestrian education-filled half day out with the horses.
The children’s camp’s surprise programs include trail rides, a picnic in the rice fields, competitions, and much more.
