Chez Gado Gado Restaurant & Bar

Chez Gado Gado is the new name of this legendary venue. Some might still have this place as Gado Gado - the club - in fresh memory. Now, General Manager Cristian Poddine and Executive Chef Quirijn Rademaker together with his culinary brigade present the refashioned restaurant with European and modern fusion cuisine and further additional tweaks to this double-decade favourite dining destination.

Guests and repeaters here enjoy offerings from the lunch, dinner and specialised vegetarian menu by the sea, with an extensive beverage list while watching the sun go down upon the Seminyak horizon, or going intimate with a romantic candlelit dinner.

Cubana Bar & Grill

Cubana Bar & Grill on Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak features a 300sqm indoor/outdoor property amidst the fashionable locale and 'eat street'. Cubana boasts a 1940’s/50’s pre-Castro Cuban Bar retro style, with a grill restaurant and cigar bar.

Jemme Restaurant shares the same House of Jemme locality, and is a place to further indulge in the glitter and sparkles of jewellery that Jemme has best known for.

Khaima Moroccan Restaurant, Lounge & Bar

Khaima is all about Moroccan cuisine, Arabic music and sensual floorshow belly dancers (every Friday and Saturday only at 21:00). Among the most famous Moroccan dishes on the menu are lamb or tuna mechoui, slow cooked spiced stew, fresh couscous served with Australian lamb and vegetables and pastilla (also known as bsteeya or bastilla). Kura-Kura Restaurant at The Oberoi

The rumour has spread that Kura-Kura is a must visit restaurant where all the dishes are created by executive chef Enrico Wahl. So be sure to put Kura-Kura on your dining list. The restaurant is situated in a beachside garden in a gorgeous hotel – The Oberoi – and offers delectable Indonesian, Asian and Continental cuisines and the best selection of paired wines, including Californian ridge Geyserville 2003 and Kim Crawford 2008 Marlborough sauvignon blanc from New Zealand. La Lucciola

Here’s a dining institution in Seminyak which is still going strong after countless years and is still packed with customers almost every night of the week. La Sal Spanish Food & Lounge

La Sal is an authentic Spanish restaurant in the heart of Seminyak set in the open air and on an upstairs terrace. Lestari Grill & Pasta

Since opening its doors for the first time in June 2007, Lestari Grill & Pasta has become a noteworthy restaurant to enjoy high quality grilled meat and seafood. It is located in the lovely quiet surroundings of Umalas, and nestles under majestic palm trees and beside a gorgeous pool. The menu is a mix of European and Asian dishes.

Mama San Kitchen, Bar & Lounge

Mama San is an indoor dining spot on Jalan Raya Kerobokan which features full air-conditioning on its two levels. The interiors are set with a styling hinting colonial Britain in Shanghai during the 1920s, with marble-top mahjong tables and oversized tan leather chesterfields.

The Mama San ground floor dining room seats up to 70 and is open for lunch 11:00 - 14:00 and for dinner 18:00 – 23:00. Reservations are recommended for lunch and essential for dinner services.

Mannekepis Jazz Blues Bistro

Metis Bali

The founders of Kafe Warisan closed the dining institution on October 2009, making way to a new venture, Metis Restaurant.

Metis Restaurant, easily found along the Jalan Petitenget road in Kerobokan (north from the Seminyak area), offers diners, "an entirely sensory dining experience". Metis boasts a restaurant, bar and lounge, as well as a gallery and boutique. 

Metis also offers special tailor-made dining experiences through a private cellar dining experience, where a table is set for up to 10 guests inside the cellar, enveloping guests in rich and luscious ambience. Rumours

If you walk along Jalan Laksmana Oberoi at around 19:00, you’ll notice the busiest waitresses in one particular spot. And this is probably the only restaurant in Seminyak where you are not able to make a reservation! Every tourist and expatriate who wants to taste their tantalising dishes such as tuna filo rolls, Rumours’ special tenderloin and cajun spiced potato wedges has to queue up to get a table every night, no exception! To avoid a long queue, you are advised to come as soon as the restaurant opens at 18:00.

Sarong Restaurant Bali

Sarong presents Asian cusine inspired from the enticing recipes sought out from street-food vendors around Asia. The restaurant is located in the Petitenget area of Seminyak. 

Since its opening in 2008, Sarong has presented a unique dining experience in a stylish and chic setting, serving Asian fusion choices from the menu.

Sukerti’s

There is no fussy décor or romantic garden setting in this restaurant but Sukerti’s is famous for its mouth-watering Indonesian and European dishes cooked by Chef Paul Burrows, who has spent 15 years in Bali proudly creating delicious food. A duck liver parfait with mango salsa and consommé jelly, salmon, swordfish and seaweed terrine on rondels of cucumber, and tamarind glazed pork are some of their specials of the day. Once you’ve tried it here, it’s hard not to return time and time again.

The Restaurant at Hu'u

Previously known as Nutmegs, The Restaurant at Hu'u has been collecting so many awards since it's first appearance in 2002, it can honestly raise its hand as a top-notch fine dining establishment. Just to name a few, it has won Best New Restaurant Award, Best Food and Best Service Award from several international publications.

The Restaurant at Hu'u offers a sneak peek of American Chef Philip Mimbimi and his team’s creations – an impressive array of Asian and Western cuisine comprising over 30 different culinary master pieces made from the freshest produce and ingredients, accompanied by a great selection of Champagne at the small but elegant bar and club (Hu’u Bar) that services both areas. Benvenuto to Trattoria! This is another Italian eatery scene featuring cheap Italian food and delicious pizza served fresh from the oven. Trattoria is surely not a fancy restaurant but has a fantastic ambience and like its neighbouring places, is a simple building with a cosy, friendly atmosphere, designed in two dining parts; the indoor and open air garden setting serves a variety of unique salads, delicious pasta, an assortment of paninis, contorni and gelati.

Wah Wah Burger & Wine Bar

Burgers are usually known as an unhealthy fast food that you can find almost everywhere, but here at Wah Burger, this finger food is approached in a stylish way, employing tempting ingredients such as foie gras, (bet you never thought that could be put in a burger!), and served with the freshest vegetables and meats, and a delicious variety of cheeses and sauces.

All this is created by the resident chef who wishes to take burger cuisine to a higher level. The restaurant is only few months old and is located a few metres away from Ku Dé Ta, but tourists and expats are always coming and going to savour this ‘one of a kind’ burger whilst they lie back in the warm ambience and enjoy the intricate artwork created by the owner himself.

Warung Bale Bali

A roadside eatery, once you enter this small restaurant you'll notice a unique mini Javanese garden, designed in a Central Javanese theme, and soft lighting during the night. It's a nice alternative to some of the more formal dining places in Seminyak. The restaurant offers Chinese and Asian fare at an affordable price. Sample their most ordered dishes – salty spicy shrimps, beef oxtail, pork ribs in oriental sauce, barbeque pork spare ribs or sweet-and-sour fried freshwater fish (gourami) and a wide selection of dim sum. There’s a weekly jazz performance every Monday night starting around 20:00 – 21:00.
