Surfing
The volcanic promontory on which Puri Dajuma cottages are built on is shaped like a ship's hull, whose bow when waves break upon, gives rise to some of the most beautiful surf breaks. These waves actually break off the well-known Medewi shoreline, just a few hundred meters away from your own cottage.
The place is an authentic and fairly uncrowded surfing spot, attracting seasoned surfers from all around the world that come to draw along the powerful waves of the Indian Ocean. After all the effort, let masseurs pamper you while savouring a delicious cocktail as the sun sets lazily from the terrace of your cottage.

Diving & Snorkeling
The Menjangan National Park is acknowledged as one of the world's richest marine parks thanks to its fantastic diversity of coral and fish species.
Located on Bali's northern coast, the park is only an hour's drive from your cottage. Not only does it have a remarkable variety of fish species, it is also situated under the protective shadow of the Javanese volcanoes just a few kilometers past the Bali Straits, midway between the sea.
Together, the semi-arid island and the blue sky offers a scenery of stunning contrast.

Trekking
The fishing village of Pekutatan lies at the lower reaches of the Batur National park which is where the Batur volcano sits at the top. With a mix of tropical rain forest bordering the sea and semi-active volcanoes at high altitudes, the Park is home to a potpourri of self-contained landscapes that have been shaped over thousands of years.
Hence, the park offers many hiking possibilities in the tropical countryside which hide a myriad of plant and animal life, at various elevations. Another fascinating National Park is found in Western Java. The Semeru National Park is one of Indonesia's largest and most impressive volcanic landscapes.
Active volcanoes sit on a rugged caldera from where you can observe periodic blasts every 30 minutes from the Semeru volcano; a giant plume of smoke rises high into the sky, smoking the smaller and nearby Bromo volcano.
The relatively high altitude of the area makes the vegetation look completely different from that on the coast; imagine desert-like landscapes that contrast sharply with the deep blue sky - Truly a breath-taking sight on any tour here.
If you feel the call of the rainforest, enter the vast canopy of giant equatorial trees and penetrate into the deep green vegetation. Perhaps you can drop by a waterfall to frolic in as monkey and birds in the surrounding forest add to the chatter.
Finally, complete this trip with a canoe tour along one of the rivers flowing down the volcanic slopes before making your way back to your exquisite cottage. In the process, it's certain you'll be uplifted by this Balinese initiation to nature's treasures.
