Track 9 Bali in Legian
Hip Legian Nightclub0
Track 9 Bali is the place to go for late night parties in Legian, when you don’t feel like venturing too deep into the main ‘downtown’ nightlife hub of Jalan Legian. This small club is located on the predominantly restaurant-lined Jalan Dewi Sri which is in the urban outskirts of the resort area, and is actually a total revamp of its original incarnation: a laidback terrace bistro. Since its overhaul in concept and design in 2016, it has brought a lively partying scene to the street.
From the outside, Track 9 fits in well along this dining street by retaining much of its past bistro-like façade. But since its rebirth it now comes to life only before midnight, and as you step inside, you are welcomed to a dazzling club floor under a ceiling that is wholly covered in a neat array of pearlescent lighting fixtures. The crowd here has been a good mix of locals, but is steadily growing by attracting expats and visitors.

The main tracks here range from chill out, house, to progressive, with resident DJs Yoga Yin, Seabass, Alex V, Ronny B Good and Utha regularly on the turntables at the club’s heightened DJ podium. Guest DJs playing at Track 9 Bali have included Claudia Jaramillo (Colombia), Schizo (Jakarta), Werewolf (Italy), and Krayzie Bone of Ohio hip-hop group Bone Thugs n’ Harmony. Their weekly line-up goes like this: Thursdays its ‘The Jam’ with two DJs battling hip hop, Fridays its ‘Paradise’ featuring house, Saturdays is ‘Blended’ with a bit of a mix, as is ‘Super Sunday’.
Some nights can get wild with sexy dancers doing their stuff to the thumping beats on the DJ podium. Track 9 Bali has also preserved its bar of yesteryear, all with the good intention to keep you fuelled throughout the night, and well into the wee hours. One to look out for is its signature Flaming Track 9 (IDR 176,000 or USD 13) which is a sight to behold, as a blend of Grenadine, Blue Curacao and Cointreau, topped off with Sambuca, which is then set alight and poured over stacked glasses like a flaming blue torch.
