Ryoshi on Jalan Raya Seminyak has proven that a Japanese restaurant can serve great sushi, sukiyaki, teriyaki and tataki in a laid-back social setting with live music, eventually attracting a more global clientele rather than Japanese-only diners. Ever since this Seminyak institution experimented with its live Jazz nights on its thatch-roof sheltered deck a few years back, Ryoshi evolved its more popular byname ‘Ryoshi House of Jazz’, featuring live bands every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Among the island’s most popular Jazz soloists and bands include Ryoshi’s own quintet, Nancy Ponto and The Soul Brothers, the Rio Sidik Quartet, Afro Spirit, Bridge Ensemble, Jazz Path, Afronesia, and nationally acclaimed singer Tri Utami singing to the tunes of Bali’s famous Tropical Transit world music band.

CP Lounge is located halfway up from the Jalan Monkey Forest Road, and features a dining and entertainment complex owned and run by a royal Ubud family member, who also occasionally serves as the venue’s fun-spirited host.
