The island’s greatest Jazz and Blues performers play regular gigs at Laughing Buddha, with a weekly agenda comprising The Bali Blues Brothers and The Mushroom Blues Band playing on Mondays with powerful lead vocalist Imelda Joplin. The Onik Blues Rock Duo takes to the stage on Tuesdays and hot Latin grooves from prominent Balinese band Tropical Transit fill the air on Saturday nights with the Buena Tierra band gets the audience moving on Fridays with another round of Latin tunes. As one of Seminyak's great spots for Italian cuisine, Zibiru Restaurant is tucked away from the main Seminyak traffic on the Jalan Drupadi side street, allowing only the soothing sounds from a live band’s soul and slow jazz to accompany your dinners every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The main dining room is homey and subtly-lit with tables arranged under an open-beam wooden ceiling. Outside, its lush garden is guarded by a family of Zibiru’s colourful mascot ceramic pigs adjacent the live jazz band. Read More...

CP Lounge is located halfway up from the Jalan Monkey Forest Road, and features a dining and entertainment complex owned and run by a royal Ubud family member, who also occasionally serves as the venue’s fun-spirited host. A small thatched-roof stage with live bands – who play almost anything – separates the spacious garden lounge and its bar that serves a great selection of martinis and cocktails. Its semi-open entertainment hall is reminiscent of a grand Balinese meeting pavilion and houses billiards and a makeshift dance floor. Be it outside under the stars or in a cosy subtly-lit corner, scenes and seating choices abound. You can enjoy good food with its selection of tapas, grilled steaks, mix of Mediterranean, western and local dishes, including pizzas and pastas, then dance away to the tunes provided by the band and live DJs.

Ryoshi on Jalan Raya Seminyak has proven that a Japanese restaurant can serve great sushi, sukiyaki, teriyaki and tataki in a laid-back social setting with live music, eventually attracting a more global clientele rather than Japanese-only diners. Ever since this Seminyak institution experimented with its live Jazz nights on its thatch-roof sheltered deck a few years back, Ryoshi evolved its more popular byname ‘Ryoshi House of Jazz’, featuring live bands every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Among the island’s most popular Jazz soloists and bands include Ryoshi’s own quintet, Nancy Ponto and The Soul Brothers, the Rio Sidik Quartet, Afro Spirit, Bridge Ensemble, Jazz Path, Afronesia, and nationally acclaimed singer Tri Utami singing to the tunes of Bali’s famous Tropical Transit world music band.

Centerstage also hosts unique shows, especially around the hotel’s anniversary celebrations such as Hard Rock’s annual body painting competitions, special fashion shows and unplugged performances by international celebrities.
