Splash Waterpark in Bali is the latest addition to Bali’s collection of fun water parks. It is located right next to the main facilities of the Canggu Club sporting and leisure complex right along the road leading to Berawa Beach. The waterpark spans 2,400sqm with a number of pools and slides, and at that size, it might not contend much to the island’s premier Waterbom Bali, but its build and design is top quality, with supporting facilities that promise a fun and safe day out for all ages.
For grownups and bigger kids, among the options is Giant Racer, a high 90m-long slide that welcomes up to four participants for a single ‘race’ down. One of the features of this particular slide is there’s an integrated speedometer that tracks your race so you can check on a screen at the end to settle any disputes, and declare the true winner. A first of its kind in Bali. Speed Racer is a smaller slide designed for younger kids so they won’t miss out on the fun.

Those who don’t like straight and monotonous lines can check out the Super Bowl, which sets you whirling as you gain momentum with every turn and into a tailspin around a giant bowl, before shooting out and splashing into the plunge pool below. Then there’s the Big Red, a large, aptly named tunnelling slide which starts five storeys high and sets you onto a longer joyride through rolling twists and curves.
And then there’s the milder set in the collection with a Crazy Creek, where you can head to after for a timeout or in between races to catch your breath before the next round. The steady stream lets you gently meander through a 102m watercourse, and is fit for all. Obviously, the kids don’t know what ‘timeout’ means, and they can always make good use of the dedicated Splash Playground, with a shallow lagoon, a fort with water cannons, mini slides and theme park-styled props. Lifeguards are on duty and keep their watchful eye at all times.
To fill up, there are food outlets offering refreshments and international cuisine, as well as healthy fixes and fresh smoothies for those into keeping shape. Splash Poolside Bar & Dining overlooks the Canggu Club’s adjacent Olympic size pool and serves pizzas, Tex-Mex and Asian delights. Evening starlight movie nights are also among the weekly highlight agendas held here, usually every weekend from 19:00.
Day passes for Splash Waterpark are IDR 300,000 for adults and IDR 180,000 for kids up to 17 years. The pass includes entry to Splash and Canggu Club’s fitness centre, sports ground, sports bar, indoor tennis facility, the onsite Body Temple Spa and adjacent dining outlets.
