Prego Italian restaurant at The Westin Resort, Nusa Dua, presents a modern and fun dining experience with a focus on creating an enjoyable atmosphere for families and kids. Its weekend highlight remains popular – a family brunch that sees its main indoor dining hall decked with colourful balloons and décor, and several different buffet lines set around an open plan kitchen.
After choosing their spot, indoors or out, mum and dad take turns enjoying their walkthrough around well-spaced food stations, choosing from freshly baked breads and pizzas to homemade pastas, salads and main dishes that are prepared right before their eyes by a culinary team to order. Meanwhile, the little ones can enjoy their own selections from a dedicated kids’ buffet and a cosy corner complete with beanbags, cartoons, and candyfloss and popcorn machines.
First trip is a starter station on a long solid wood display, presenting single bite-size portions that allow you to fill up your plate with different morsels. These range from shrimp and artichoke salads, chickpea mixes, eggs mimosa and more. You will easily find your way on more rounds through the pastas and grilled meats station, with selections to order include panini, striploin steaks, chicken and calamari skewers, lamb chops, prawns and swordfish steaks.
Prego’s alfresco setup comprises parasol-shaded tables arranged alongside a vast green lawn, where families can opt for a more active scene as parents enjoy meals, while kids are treated to a mini playground complete with various games ranging from mini golf, stilts and a trampoline. The games are well supervised by caring staff and will keep kids busy and amused throughout the brunch hours. A magician also goes around the tables occasionally with some awesome tricks up his sleeve.
As a Prego Family Brunch guest, you and your family are also entitled to free use of the Westin Resort’s Premium Wing swimming pool, a secluded part of the resort where you can enjoy a truly refreshing weekend off. Cosy cabanas welcome you to relax and lounge away while the kids splash around. Kids will also get the chance to bump into Pipo, Prego’s mascot squirrel, who goes around spreading cheer and offering photo opportunities.
The Prego Family Brunch is available at only IDR 445,000 nett per adult, free for kids under 4 years of age, and IDR 170,000 nett for kids 4 to 12 (with free flow soft drinks). An option with free-flowing wine, beer and selected cocktails is available at IDR 695,000 nett per person. Prego Family Brunch is every Sunday from 11:30 to 15:00.
A la carte selections for lunch and dinner feature Chef Alessandro Molini’s recommendations that includes ‘pizza 4 seasons’ or Quattro Stagioni (IDR 165,000), which represents winter, spring, summer and fall through artichoke, ham, olives and mushrooms, and a delicious veal ossobuco alla Milanese (IDR 355,000), slow-braised for four hours in red wine and served with saffron risotto.
