Panama Kitchen and Pool in Bali

Mediterranean Style Pool Bar in Canggu

Panama Kitchen and Pool is a great ‘go to’ for those looking for a quirky and Instagram-able spot for chilling out around Canggu. This restaurant and bar features a kitchen inside an all-white beach house, akin to an Aegean Greek house, which feels pleasantly out of place in Bali. Further in, there’s a pool and mini lawn with sun loungers where you can chill out, sip, take a dip, or enjoy its offerings of Mediterranean dishes.

The bar and main dining room beside the pool offers an alternative spot to cool off in the shade, and Panama Kitchen and Pool also welcomes families with its friendly and chilled atmosphere and service. Open for brunch until dinner, the all-day menu features delights good for sharing, such as the Anchor Breaker, an assortment of fried vegetables and French fries. If you come for breakfast, try the Early Net Catch (IDR 65,000 or USD 5), which comes with your choice of eggs, sausages, bacon, sautéed baby potatoes and sweetcorn, watercress and mushrooms.

The bar counter is slightly lowered, enabling you to watch the bartender in flair as he prepares your drinks or cocktails. Try the quirkily named ‘Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’’, a blend of vodka, rum, tequila and cranberry juice (IDR 85,000 or USD 6.50) if you want a good booster, or the truly refreshing ‘Hey, Nona!’ of vodka, watermelon and mint which is a crisp drink, perfect on a hot afternoon under the sun. Panama Kitchen Bali is very welcoming of families, and the kids menu is no afterthought, with light bites such as burgers and fish n’ chips, together with a selection of milkshakes, smoothies and fresh tropical fruit juices.
