    Rooftop Sunset Dining and Lounge in Seminyak


    Moonlite Kitchen and Bar (formerly SOS Supper Club) at the Anantara Seminyak Bali, is a great spot in Seminyak to dine and lounge with soaring views over Seminyak’s surf and sunsets. Located on the fifth-floor rooftop of the resort, this stylish venue welcomes you with many options: go for a seating at the main timber-decked space around the edge or under its slanted glass roof for best views, or head to its well-stocked bar and lounge further in for different vibes.

    You can simply pop into Moonlite Kitchen and Bar just for a snack and sundowner. Their IDR 125,000 (USD 9) two-for-one evening deals treat you to two refreshing signature cocktails for the price of one – great if you come as a couple. Their sunset mojito sessions are IDR 65,000 (USD 5), with daily live DJs between 16:30 and 19:00. Moreover, you can plan ahead for an after-sunset dinner with half price discounts from 21:00 to 23:00 with advance day bookings.

  • The menu features an abundant seafood selection, which includes a spicy, sweet and sour ‘gulai asam tumis’ barramundi (IDR 135,000 or USD 10) in a tamarind sauce marinate. Meat-lovers will love the ‘crispy versus juicy’ in its roast pork (IDR 145,000 or USD 11), with pineapple, capsicum, calamansi and chilli caramel sauce. For something truly filling, you’ll find 300g of meaty heaven in its marinated ribeye (IDR 345,000 or USD 25), grilled with coriander butter and black pepper sauce.

    Dessert choices (IDR 65,000 or USD 5 each) come as a balance between east and west. While you’re in Bali, why not try one that is locally inspired and truly innovative? This includes the Balinese favourite ‘bubur injin’ black rice pudding doused in coconut milk pudding, together with small chunks of boiled cassava and jackfruit and topped with coconut ice cream. Alternatively, there’s the Bali chocolate and chilli brownie, with cashew brittles, caramelised banana and almond custard ice cream.

    Service is helpful yet unobtrusive. After sunset, live music augments your evenings throughout the week from 19:00 to 22:00. On the weekends, Moonlite Kitchen and Bar does brunches where you can enjoy a Singaporean hawker centre-style brunch for only IDR 247,000 (USD 18) per person. Mondays aren’t hated here, kicking off the week with all-you-can-eat ribs grilled in honey BBQ sauce and served with French fries and free-flow beer (IDR 500,000 or USD 37).
