Mint Bali Club on Seminyak
Hip Nightclub in Seminyak0
Mint Bali Club is the place to go if Seminyak’s well-established venues don’t get you grooving enough. This live DJ nightspot offers lingering clubbers, who still have the oomph to dance into the wee hours, a classy clubbing experience. Late evening drinks and after-dinner gatherings with friends is the scene here, and gradually builds momentum with steady crowds and regular highlights featuring resident and international guest DJs.
The playlist at Mint Club is a good mixture of house, hip-hop, trance and techno, which draws in night owls weekly. In addition to the main club, at front overlooking Seminyak's Jalan Petitenget road is a complimentary business venue called the The Mint Terrace, where you can lounge away casually beside an open bar serving world-class cocktails and cuisines.
Mint Bali is just across the road from Biku and other notable grazing spots share the Petitenget route nearby, making it an easy stroll to head off to after late dinners in the area. Being set off the main crowded ‘eat street’ of Jalan Kayu Aya also has its benefits, as Mint is one among a handful of venues out of the usual gridlocks to offer late night gigs that go on well into the mornings. Parking is an issue here, so taxi rides are the way to go.
Almost nothing happens early here; despite its ‘Happy New Friday’ program that goes on between 16:30 – 19:00, the real crowds only appear somewhere near midnight. Its DJ booth with a bar and stage-like arrangement produces audible pleasures that progress throughout the evening with nice beats and electronic house as the evening turns into a new day. Loyal regulars tend to comprise of young adults, but highlighted agendas usually draw a dynamic mix.
The drink list at Mint Bali is broad with a good selection of wines, classic and house cocktails and mocktails. For something different, try one of Mint’s favourites, such as Around Bali or the Apple Mint Martini with apple vodka, mint leaves, Cointreau, fresh limejuice and a dash of apple syrup. Or tryout the Green Samurai of Pandan which combines vodka, Kwai Feh lychee liqueur, homemade pandan syrup and a splash of fresh limejuice.
Even after dinner earlier in the evening, you might get a bit peckish along with the beats and boogies. Mint Bali Club presents a menu featuring pan-Asian cuisine, from steaks and pasta with wood-fired oven pizzas, and a range of small bites you and your friends can order anytime. The selections are not cheap but nowhere as overpriced as the other restaurants you can find along the same street.
