Jalan Raya Candidasa is the main street that runs parallel to Candidasa’s coastline. The road also runs along most of Bali’s east coast. It’s also where you'll find most of Candidasa’s points of interest. These include beachfront hotels, resorts, restaurants and bars. You’ll also most likely begin your shopping adventures and sightseeing here. Most of the mini markets and art shops are around the street’s midway point. The Candidasa Lotus Lagoon landmark and its hillside temple are at its eastern end.

Jalan Raya Candidasa Shopping and Dining
If you start your walks from the western end of the street you will see the police station with a great view of the Candidasa Bay across from it. Ari Homestay is right down the road with The Hot Dog Shop next to it, if you’re looking for a quick bite with cold beer. A more sophisticated dining option is available at La Rouge restaurant which serves international cuisine. Right before New Queen Pub & Restaurant, you can browse through the small cluster of art shops. They sell local handmade cotton pieces in colourful prints, as well as handicrafts of all sorts at bargain prices.
Further down is Joglo Bar & Restaurant, a quaint spot with a mini garden. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with live music on Wednesday nights. Shops in the midsection of Jalan Raya Candidasa include Tunjung Shop, which showcases great works crafted by local silversmiths. Then there’s Asri Shop, where you can get your daily necessities such as groceries and snacks. You can also ask here for motorbike rentals, as they usually have something available. Daily rates start from IDR 50,000 for a Yamaha Mio or Honda Vario automatic moped.
Next to Andre Bali Spa is Nadi Bookstore, which also showcases vibrant Balinese paintings and antiques. For cheap locally made resort wear produced from cool, lightweight cotton, try Happy Shop next door. Just a few steps east is Crazy Kangaroo, a restaurant, bar, and games room offering live sports feeds and fun for the whole family. Centrally located along Jalan Raya Candidasa is Gemini Shop. This is a central supermarket in Candidasa that typically caters to locals with its refreshments and daily necessities. You can get your stationery, postcards and visitor maps here too – all at fixed prices.
Soon, you’ll arrive at the end of the street. The beautiful Candidasa Lotus Lagoon is on the south side of the street and you can barely see the sea from across the road. This landmark serves as a good resting spot along your walk. There are plenty more restaurants and nightspots nearby, including, Linga Longa Bar, Balissa Bar and Restaurant, Vincent’s and Legend Rock Café. All throughout the length of Jalan Raya Candidasa are various hotels and resorts, standalone spas, money changers and ATMs. There are convenience stores with names like Alfamart and Indomaret nearly every 100 meters or so, which make for good pitstops for refreshments on your thirsty trek through town.
