    Grow Bali restaurant is the Seminyak-based brainchild of award-winning Chef Ryan Clift of Singapore’s Tippling Club and Open Farm Community fame. Since the turn of 2017, the elegant dining spot subtly replaced L Hotel Seminyak’s signature Lola Restaurant, and presents Chef Ryan’s ‘sustainable dining’ concept through his intensive use of fresh and locally-sourced produce.   • The bar space at Grow Bali is a welcoming feature. Here you can choose a comfy stool by the bar or sink into a wicker chair if you’re gathering with friends, and enjoy pre-dinner sips while admiring the artistic combinations of wooden panels with used whiskey and wine bottles upcycled as subtle lamps hanging overhead. Grow’s signature cocktails include the Kupu Kupu (a blend of tequila, Cointreau, lime and rose cordial) and the Fla-Min-Grow (dark and light rum, lime, pineapple juice, beetroot and coconut cream). All cocktails are IDR 130,000 (USD 10).

    Stepping inside Grow Bali restaurant’s main dining room, which is right at the base of the hotel, you’ll discover its underlying theme of greenery and freshness throughout, with indoor plants and vertical garden partitions, as well as murals in leafy themes. The restaurant’s surrounding glassed garden further enhances this natural feel. There are tables for two, as well as a side of the dining room with long plush sofas. If you’re dining with friends, there’s a solid-block long teakwood table for large groups, available for a company of up to 12.

    Tempting selections off Chef Ryan's all-day dining menu include a kale and watercress soup (IDR 60,000 or USD 5), which you can enjoy cold or hot, served with a soft-poached egg, radish and charred croutons. Seafood lovers can opt for the local red snapper (IDR 180,000 or USD 13), served with minced cauliflower, curried and pickled cauliflower and masala jus foam.

    The braised beef cheek (IDR 190,000 or USD 14) is a great choice for meat-eaters, and comes served with beetroot, quinoa, roasted baby beets and yoghurt sauce. For a unique finale, try the roast mango (IDR 75,000 or USD 6) – a pleasant sweetness to the palate that is further smoothened by its blend of coconut sago, coconut sorbet and fresh coriander.
