Azul Beach Club is one of the best spots in Legian to enjoy laidback drinks, sea breezes and views by day, leading into a chilled out sunset session. The beachfront restaurant and bar is next door to the Bali Mandira Beach Resort and Spa and stands out near the coastline with its visually appealing all-bamboo structure. The beach club comprises a semi-open dining section, bar and lounging space set over 3 levels, all designed under rotundas and towering thatch-roof domes.
There’s a great list of signature cocktails designed by acclaimed mixologist Joseph Boroski. Dessert cocktails and martinis to ‘modern tikis’ such as Pina Mai Tai and Colada Mama all prove delightful quenchers.

If you stay for a meal, there’s a host of innovative dishes at Azul. ‘Chef's creation pizzas’ include twists the likes of gado gado – the famous Indonesian mixed salad with peanut sauce. Another take is the tom yum goong. If you’re looking for healthier options, consider their baby snapper with roasted pumpkin, paired with jalapeno salsa, or the spiced crispy calamari with preserved lemon, crispy garlic, fried shallot, squid-ink aioli and Thai nam jim dip.
Azul Beach Club is also a go-to on any given Saturday or Sunday, as cool tunes by resident DJs and occasional live bands rock the spot throughout the afternoons. You can come in through the resort, or just drop in from the beachside road.
