    Rip Curl School of Surf

    Legian

    One of the leading surf brands, Rip Curl set up a base for its surf school in Legian in 1998. These shores are not as crowded as Kuta in the south, and provide you with slightly better conditions for learning. After around four hours of guidance from Rip Curl’s experienced team of instructors, you’ll get a clearer understanding of the techniques, the form, and positioning on the board, and most importantly find your way on the waves.     Quicksilver School of Surf

    Legian

    Former world champion surfer Cheyne Horan set up his school in Legian several years back, and it later became the Quicksilver School of Surf where he remains as head instructor and coach. Headquarters are right on Jalan Pantai Legian next to the Jayakarta Hotel. The instructors are professional and friendly and they stock great Quiksilver surf gear. Perfect for beginners as well as experienced surfers who have taken a break from surfing and would like to refresh their moves. Some beginner classes take over two hours and the team are determined to get you standing up on your board and ride a wave over the course.

    Canggu Surf School Bali

    The surfing craze reached the shores of Canggu, north of Kuta and Seminyak, due to the discovery of favourable waves and terrific beachfront locations. As the first surf school in Canggu, the Canggu Surf School conducts surfing lessons daily at 09:00 and 14:00, with its ‘Canggu-specific curriculum’.
