    Where and What to Eat in Jimbaran Beach

    A three-kilometre long array of beachside cafés and a lineup of international restaurants make Jimbaran Bali’s seafood heaven a must-visit gastronomic destination. Two main restaurant clusters dominate this culinary bazaar; the first on Kedonganan-Jimbaran Bay adjacent to Jimbaran fish market and the second on Muaya Beach, one kilometre south (on Jalan Pantai Muaya, also known as 'Jalan Four Seasons').

    There are probably 40 restaurants in both areas, not to mention the hotel-based restaurants and cafés. If you are adventurous with your appetite, this is the only place that can abate your craving for seafood dishes.

Alcedo Restaurant serves up an International menu specialising in seafood-based dishes. Bella Cucina (formerly Bella Singaraja)

Bella Cucina is an InterContinental Bali Resort's authentic Italian fine dining restaurant. It's a venue where you can savour your meal while listening to fabulous vocal entertainment.

Café Moka

Café Moka Ungasan is the latest addition to this local franchise and brings the total to four parlours. Cire at the Alila Villas Uluwatu is an ultra-modern Western restaurant focused on using organic regional produce. Cire's Executive Chef Stefan Zijta was formerly from two-Michelin starred Vermeer in Amsterdam, and now at Cire he and his team present contemporary Western cuisine prepared with regional produce. 'Cire' refers to a process of waxing or polishing, paying tribute to the Balinese batik stamps which decorate the restaurant. Chocolate Café

The Chocolate Café Patisserie & Bakery offers a superb range of pastry and breads and also features a retail shop. The tea room offers high end teas offered by TWG Singapore, coffee by Illy Coffee, and wine by the glass and by bottles. Also served are a range of cocktails on request basis. The café also serves a variety of delicious sandwiches and salads.

Cuca Restaurant Bali

Cuca presents great tapas and desserts in a casual dining setting overlooking a gorgeous garden and coconut grove. The restaurant is located in front of the Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate and Spa, and features three distinctive spaces, namely an interactive food bar alongside a long teak counter, a relaxed and intimate dining room, and a chilled out cocktail bar and garden lounge with sea breezes. Chef and restaurateur Kevin Cherkas presents western cuisine using locally sourced ingredients prepared in an open kitchen. Items are reasonable priced, from IDR 30,000, and must-tries include pulled pork and mushroom croquettes, and the special fire-baked seafood rice with marinated prawns, sliced fish, tender octopus, vegetable sofrito and optional addition of soft-shell crab. Cuca also offers cooking or ‘tasting’ classes that provide a great insight into local ingredients and the chef’s techniques.

Grocer & Grind

Grocer & Grind at the Jimbaran Corner is a great stopover if you’re in need for a caffeine fix and feeling peckish for a wholesome bite while in Jimbaran. The menu presents good comfort food, from delicious salads and sandwiches, to grazing options for the whole family and friends to share. Nelayan Restaurant

This restaurant is renowned for its rare and extensive selection of seafood, from Barracuda fillet to Mahi-mahi curry, but apart from the great seafood selection Nelayan also provides International dishes. Highly recommended dishes from the a la carte list are Tuna Avocado Tartar to start before butterfish steak with curry sauce or baked duck breast with honey as a main. A cup of Balinese coffee is a fine ending to your seafood journey at Nelayan.

Taman Gita Terrace at InterContinental Bali Resort

The Warung

The Warung at the Alila Villas Uluwatu features a menu that is based on authentic recipes from around Bali and the rest of the Indonesian archipelago.
