The name is derived from the legendary story of Mahabrata, Puri means "palace" and Kencana means "glorious gold". Resembling a "golden palace" in many ways, the Puri Kencana Grand Ballroom consist of six large golden chandeliers with dimming system, 4 grand entrance doors sculptured with thousands of water lilies to the finest details by master craftsmen from the Island of Bali and a water fountain at one of it's entrances to show off its grandness. Consisting of an existing built-in stage, high ceiling and no interfering pillars, this grand room is only 10 steps away from the amphitheatre where traditional cultural shows can be be staged.
Located on the 1st floor, to the left of the Lobby it can accommodate up to 600 people for cocktail parties and up to 400 for a banquet. Puri Kencana is suitable for holding medium to large size conferences or gala events. For smaller functions, Puri Kencana can be divided into 3 separate smaller rooms with sound proofed partitions. Puri Kencana is equipped with an audio visual control room and modern sound system.
