Full Day Explorer Bedugul and Tanah Lot Tours

Bali Discovery - Full Day Tours

Head off for a morning stop to admire the Beratan Lake in the cool uplands of Bedugul. The lake’s clear and calm water with beautiful mountainous backdrops and the iconic Ulun Danu Temple in the foreground adds to the overall appeal of Beratan. When the lake’s water levels reach the watermark, the Ulun Danu Temple would seem to ‘float’, with the lake surface creating a mirror effect.

Candikuning market nearby is a fruit and vegetable traditional market boasting the freshest harvests and is frequented by locals and visitors. The next itinerary is Taman Ayun Temple, the largest temple located in Mengwi and remnant of the Mengwi kingdom. The large complex is surrounded by a large moat with fish and lotus ponds.

The temple features shrines that tower high and featuring centuries-old Balinese architecture adorned with beautiful motifs. Next stop is the Tanah Lot Temple in Tabanan, a Balinese Hindu temple that sits on top of a rock and encircled by the sea. The temple is also one of the iconic Bali temples that provide perfect sunset moments to be had in the late afternoons.

This tour starts with a journey to Beratan, a serene lake set amidst the mountainous range of the cool central Bali highlands. Beratan's calm and clear waters with its picturesque backdrop and Ulun Danu temple further adorning its perimeter makes for a soothing sight to enjoy. Ulun Danu temple is a one among the famous Hindu temples on the island, and is also one of the most notable Bali landmarks, aside from the more famous sea temples, the likes of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu.

Candi Kuning market, only minutes away from Beratan, is a lively bazaar of local fruit and vegetable harvests. This traditional market sells fresh vegetables and fruit such as tamarillos, strawberries, salak, oranges and watermelons. A trip to Candikuning not only is a colourful sight for the eyes, but also a journey full of insight into the local exotic harvests of the region.

The final stop is the Taman Ayun temple in Mengwi, which features beautiful, age-old, Balinese architecture. A main temple complex is surrounded by a moat with large pondsfilled with fish and blooming lotuses. Taman Ayun is a silent witness to a portion of the island's vibrant history. The final stop will be at the famous sea temple of Tanah Lot, a Balinese Hindu temple perched on top of a rock and girt by sea and crashing waves at its base. Tanah Lot serves as the perfect epilogue to this exciting tour, especially as it offers one of the most dramatic of Bali sunsets.
