Things to See and Do in East Bali

This is a list of all East Bali attractions, which add up to why this less-visited region is worth exploring. East Bali’s coastline may lack in the number of surfable waves and lengthy stretches of white sand beaches that Bali’s southern coasts are most famous for, but it outshines most other areas with its panoramic landscapes and beautiful treasures that lie beneath its calm waves.

There are also great cultural encounters to discover in East Bali, as it is home to some of the island’s oldest villages. One is Tenganan Pegringsingan, home to the Bali Aga people, where you can witness the traditional manufacturing of woven basketry and one of the rarest heritage textiles in Indonesia. Known as the double ikat-weave Geringsing, it comes in vivid motifs and earthen colours. In all, East Bali is where to go if you want to escape the common crowds!
